Great Win Over Arizona
What a great game Matt Hasselbeck had yesterday over the Arizona Cardinals. This is after missing last weeks game versus the New York Giants due to a minor head injury. Nobody can predict that number 8 will go 22-34 for 333 yards and 1 touchdown and 0 interception for the game. For the first time since 2005 the Seahawks swept the two games they have played. The Hawks defense was outstanding yesterday with holding the Cardinals on third downs forcing them to go 2-11 and then 0-2 on fourth downs. Chris Clemons and company made life really hard on Derek Anderson in the pocket. everybody on defense did their job. Thank you Mike Williams for showing up and giving his all. Williams had 11 catches for 145 yards, only thing missing is a touchdown or two but Williams played a awesome game. The running game did their part and got it going with Lynch and Foresett gashing through the defensive line and getting positive yards.Overall there was minimal mistakes that was made yesterday. My only grip is that Pete Carrol decided to go for it at the goal line and Matt hurts his non throwing hand and to start the third quarter Whitehurst comes in and throws a pick. Matt has proved time and time again that he is the best option at the quarterback spot until the Hawks find his replacement. The Hawks are 3-1 in division play and can take the NFC West with wins over the 49ners and St. Louis Rams. They play really tough teams to close out the season starting with going to New Orleans and playing the Saints. After the Saints they play Kansas City, Carolina, Atlanta, San Francisco, Tampa Bay and St. Louis. It is really important that they get focused and close out the games to remain atop of the division. The Hawks have a two game lead over everybody else in the division. So in ending lets go to New Orleans and get a key win and show the league the Hawks will be a team to wreck with win the playoffs start. I'm all in.

Yes, it was a hell-of-a-game D. Fun to watch, but most wins are. Kind of looking forward to next week. That will be a true test of any improvements. I am a little worried about Matt's wrist. They say it is manageble, but I am skeptical. I hope that it is manageable, as Whithurst needs to stay on the sideline and hold Matt's clipboard. But aside from the QB side of things, the guys played well. I was kind of waiting for you to blast Brock for his stupidity on Saturday. LOL But why piss on a win with one guy's stupidy right? Guess that's my job. hehehe. Anyhow, it was a good game. The team play was excellent. The execution of plays was excellent. And I think my only 2 rants would be with Lynch and the play calling. It drives me nuts when he stops at the line. The dude is a monster, so why finesse it? Hit that line, bounce around, and keep those legs working. He'll get the yards, but not if he stops his momentum because the holes aren't there. It kind of reminds me of Alexander... No holes, now what? Fuck the holes, make them, or make something happen. Lynch has the power to run over guys, he just needs to keep that momentum going. But this is just a small bitch on my part. As for the play calling, what is up with going for it on 4rth down? Take the 3 points dammit! This ain't college ball. The NFL will eat you alive if you don't put points on the board. Can we make it Carrol says... Shit, you can make the field goal, but one yard seemed a little out of reach on Sunday. Carrol needs to stop with the rah rah bull shit and take the damned points that are right in front of him. It worked out in our favor this past weekend, but next weekend we may not be so lucky. All in all though good game blue. You gave me a reason to cheer. And D. You just keep these posts coming. I was seriously Jonesin yesterday as there was no post from you in my morning ritual. LOL Peace!
